Grommet Kit 2mm. I have access through the grommet/gasket on the engine bay side

I have access through the grommet/gasket on the engine bay side (removed e-tape) but can't figure out how to get through on the interior side without puncturing the gasket. OEM part # 90480-01167. May 15, 2023 · I am in the process of replacing the PCV valve and grommet. It comes out above your left foot. Is there a special tool or technique to get it out without breaking it? Thanks in advance. I tried different methods/tools but it started to break into pieces and I stopped right there.
